How can I request service for another structure on my property where I monitor my equipment and sensors? How can I request service for another structure on my property where I monitor my equipment and sensors?

While each situation is unique, we typically offer service to other structures on your property at no additional cost if there's an existing pathway (like a pole or trench) allowing us to install a service drop to the structure. When contacting an altafiber agent to set up service for your home, simply inform them that you'd like to include service for the additional structure. However, if the distance exceeds our maximum length (1,000 feet) or if obstacles in the pathway increase installation costs, there may be an additional charge or the need for extensive construction.

How can I address the risk of my farming equipment encountering a low-hanging aerial cable? How can I address the risk of my farming equipment encountering a low-hanging aerial cable?

If you encounter a low-hanging aerial cable, please notify us promptly by calling our Pole Line Maintenance number at 513-566-8130. Our Construction Inspector for your area will investigate and address the issue. It's important to note that our cables adhere to NESC guidelines for clearance over roads and pedestrian areas. Requests to relocate cables from aerial to underground are considered billable. If such a request is made, one of our Engineers will provide a cost estimate for the work. Before any relocation work begins, we require your signature and payment. Please be aware that if our inspector determines that the low-hanging cable belongs to another provider, we are legally unable to intervene. In such cases, you will need to contact the service provider responsible for the cable's maintenance and relocation.

Could construction activities pose a risk of damage to my farm tiles? Could construction activities pose a risk of damage to my farm tiles?

In cases where underground placement is necessary, we ensure it remains within the public right of way, away from farm tiles. Should you have any questions regarding construction activities, please feel free to reach out to us at 513-566-8130.
