Connect to a Wireless (Wi-Fi) Network
- This tutorial will show you how to connect your Xbox 360 to the Wi-Fi network.
- Note: This device will only connect to 2.4GHz wireless networks. It will not connect to 5GHz wireless networks.
- The X-Box One S and X-Box One X will support 5G. There are three different versions of the PS4 all called generically PS4. Of those three different versions, two support 5G (the PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro), the original does not.
- Note: all selection actions are done using the navigation key on your controller.
- Ensure that the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter is attached and connected to the USB port. The light will turn red to indicate a connection to the Xbox 360.
- Select Settings.
- Select System and press the A button.
- Select Network Settings and press the A button.
- All available Wi-Fi networks within range of your Xbox 360 are listed.
- Choose the network to which you want to connect.
- If the network is not listed, make sure that the network is enabled and within the range of the Xbox 360.
- Press the A button.
- If this screen appears, enter the password.
- If this screen does not appear, skip the next step.
- Press the Start button.
- Select Yes and press the A button.
- The Xbox 360 will test its connection to the Internet.
- The Xbox 360 will then test its connection to Xbox Live.
- Once complete, select Continue and press the A button.
- The Wi-Fi network is now connected.
