Holds casting calls around region to find four 'Gigalife' stars
CINCINNATI, Ohio – Cincinnati Bell today announced the kickoff of its campaign to find Real "Gigalife" Stars of Greater Cincinnati. Four everyday people from the region will be featured in a series of upcoming Cincinnati Bell commercials, one of which will premier during the most watched sporting event of the year - the "Big Game", taking place Feb. 1, 2015. The campaign will showcase four individuals from various walks of life and highlight how they use the Internet/technology - their Gigalife.
"Our hometown Gigalife stars will be a part of the campaign introducing our new Gigabit Internet service to consumers and small businesses in the region," shared Ted Torbeck, president and CEO of Cincinnati Bell. "We want to get a glimpse into the lives of our neighbors to understand how they use technology in their everyday lives."
Today's kick-off event took place in the Atrium Building and included a coin toss in which University of Cincinnati President Santa Ono and Xavier University President Father Graham faced off to see which university will hold the first casting call. The coin landed in Father Graham's favor, and Xavier will hold the first Gigalife casting call on Nov. 1.
"Having university presidents Ono and Graham take part in our kick-off event was great fun," Torbeck said. "We appreciate their support and all they do for the community and have donated $10,000 to each university to contribute toward need-based scholarships."
